Why CX Communities Matter
Customer experience professionals often work in isolation within their organizations. A strong community provides peer learning, shared frameworks, and the moral support to champion customer-centric practices in often resistant organizations.
Choosing Your Platform
Slack, Discord, Circle, and LinkedIn Groups each have different strengths. Slack works for real-time collaboration. Circle provides the best combination of community features. LinkedIn Groups reach a professional audience without requiring another app.
Content Strategy for Communities
A community without value is a ghost town. Establish a content cadence: weekly discussions, monthly expert AMAs, and quarterly virtual events. Give members reasons to return consistently.
Moderation and Culture
Culture is set early and changes slowly. Be explicit about values and norms from day one. Good moderation is invisible; poor moderation destroys communities quickly.
